Dear Colleague:
As President of the South Broward Bar Association (SBBA), I cordially invite you to become a member of our organization.
The SBBA is a voluntary bar association formed in 2008 and concentrated in South Broward. The SBBA holds monthly luncheon meetings at The Ark Restaurant (Ballroom) located at 6255 Stirling Rd. in Davie, FL on the first Thursday of every month at 12:00 p.m. The cost of each luncheon is $20.00 for members ($30.00 for non-members). At each luncheon, you are afforded the opportunity to introduce yourself and discuss your area of practice, meet judges in an informal setting, and network with numerous local attorneys. We have a local judge or legal dignitary speak at our luncheons, so CLE credits can be earned by attendees at no additional cost.
The SBBA also holds various social events. Last year, we held several wine tasting happy hours, Opening Night with the Florida Panthers, Night at the Improv with Jay Mohr, and a Holiday Party. In addition, we hold an Installation Dinner each March at the Signature Grand in Davie. The keynote speaker for this year's event was Florida Supreme Court Justice Ricky Polston.
Being an active member of bar associations in previous years has proven to be beneficial to my practice, as I've had the opportunity to meet with other attorneys and members of our community in both professional and social settings. Membership in the SBBA provides a great opportunity to promote your practice and network with local lawyers and judges in an informal setting.
I invite you to become a member of our association, and to join us for our next luncheon or social event. Membership in the SBBA is open to judges, attorneys, law students, paralegals, and legal-related vendors and professionals.
